Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton may need to share the presidential open deliberation stage.

Venues facilitating the up and coming open deliberations have been told to make arrangements for a potential third platform, as Libertarian Party presidential hopeful Gary Johnson creeps nearer to meeting all requirements for a spot on the stage, Politico reports.

Makers working for the Commission on Presidential Debates issued the mandate to the venues to ensure they're set up for the likelihood of an outsider hopeful – like Johnson or Green Party chosen one Jill Stein – being welcome to take an interest in the open deliberations.

"With Gary Johnson surveying in a few places more than twofold digits, they may have, some of our generation individuals may have said, 'In the event that something goes wrong, you have to arrange out what that may resemble,' " Mike McCurry, co-seat of the Commission on Presidential Debates told Politico. "We won't know the quantity of solicitations we reach out until mid-September."

With a specific end goal to take an interest in any of the three up and coming presidential verbal confrontations, Johnson would need to secure 15 percent in surveys. He right now remains at around 8 percent, The New York Times reports.

Green Party applicant Stein is surveying at 4 percent, as indicated by a NBC News/Survey Monkey survey.

As far as concerns him, Johnson stays hopeful that he will win the chance to go up against Trump, 70, and Clinton, 68.

"There SHOULD be a third platform on the stage," the previous New Mexico senator tweeted on Tuesday, including a connection to Politico's report.

With an end goal to achieve the 15-percent mark, Johnson has propelled the 15for15" battle encouraging supporters to give $15 to "get Gary Johnson in the verbal confrontations," as indicated by his site.

The presidential open deliberations will occur on Sept. 26 at Hofstra University in New York; Oct. 9 at Washington University in Missouri and Oct. 19 at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in Nevada.

The bad habit presidential level headed discussion will happen on Oct. 4 at Longwood University in Virginia.
